19 DAYS....

In October, 1986, while I was exploring the "mountains" on the outskirts of Abilene, Texas, I was struck by a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.  Luckily, I was still small enough for my dad to put me on his shoulders and run the few miles back to where we had parked the truck and hiked in.  In less than two hours, I was in the ER.  After several doses of anti-venom failed to reduce the swelling and restore blood flow, I was rushed in to surgery for a fasciotomy to try and save my leg.  19 days and 300+ staples later, I was released from the hospital.  I made a full recovery, but have watched where I've stepped ever since!  I developed the Brush Cruisers because it's my goal to allow people to focus on enjoying their time in the outdoors worry-free.
